Diving in Laamu brings us so much joy! The extraordinary volume and variety of sea life here are beautifully captured in this September highlights video which we hope will inspire and delight you as much as it does us. August has been an extraordinary month for the sheer volume of fish; dives have been replete with tiny baitfish shimmering in schools over the reefs, which in turn attract larger predators such as tuna, jacks, and sharks. Speaking of which, be sure to watch until the end of the video for a surprising interaction between a shark and a manta! Have you ever seen a manta mating train? Our June highlights video features footage of this amazing phenomenon where females gracefully swoop and do barrel rolls to see which males are able to keep up with her. Enjoy as well the chilled-out turtles, sharks and eagle rays who also filled our dives with joy this month!
Scuba diving in the Maldives in Laamu atoll is very special – since there are no other dive operators or liveaboards around we almost guaranteed have the dive site for ourselves.
